gingham dress
It only took me three days and four unpicking threads later! The ribbon I sewed on later to hide an inperfection! AND I didn't like the appliques that came with the pattern. I found one on my cricut and cut it out with that! Cute huh!!
Chan and I are behind on 'craft day'. We cant ever seem to find a weekend to ge!t together. SOON! See you then

Only a month late...
Dawn and I are well known for starting projects and finishing them months and even years later. Our mom loves anything handmade and we are always promising her fabulous projects that appear months after her birthday or Christmas. Her birthday is April 1st and I started this frame the weekend before. I was sure I was going to get it done in time, HA! The good thing is my mom doesn't care.
Dawn posted a while ago about the guitar applique she made for my son. She made an adorable ladybug onesie for my daughter.
Please disregard the plastic arrow in her hands. Lol. So cute and easy. My husband and I dressed up for Halloween a couple of years ago and made our costumes. He decided to make my son a monster out of the leftover material. He's better on my sewing machine than I am. Dawn recently made Lumpy a friend. On the left is Lumpy and right is Mr. Laughy....both named by my 5 year old.

Future seamstress or seamster?......
walked into my craft room to start sewing and I find this.
He loves to SEW now! Its hilarious! ......He begs me to sew constantly!
This is a boy (like every boy) that thinks he is HOT to women (at ten he really does think this). Loves golfing, motorcyling, snowboarding, basketball etc. and now I can add seamstress to his resume. I love it!!

T shirt applique
I drew out a guitar and cut it out of the leopord fabric. You can iron on fusible backing for stability. I didnt like using it, I didn't want the stiffness and I don't like the goopiness on my sewing machine. Pin up really good!
On the second go round I sewed it really crazy like. I wanted the sloppy look.
Now on all guitars you have to have what they call 'in the biz' pickups and volume controls. sew them buggers on.
there you have it!! So cute and stylish! I hope he loves it! He is five and has his own set of drums, and even a band named 'Fireghost'! He's awesome and has the best imagination!
Thanks for stopping and we will talk to ya later!

Also I want to venture into the sewing clothes area!! I'm a little scared, but I know all the basics of sewing, so pray I will be able to handle it!! Here are the two patterns I want to try first. The baby dress I want to make out of some cute polka dot material, for Chantel's little girl Emery. Wish me lucK!!!

bunny make do and future chippendale?!
Now on to my project....Since we were so busy in March (I don't know with what). I didn't get my Easter project done until the day before easter. But you could leave this cute guy out until the end of May for spring. Right? I need some reassurance people..
Grab ya some chenille stems, these will be used in the ears so you can reposition them. (do this before you stuff) fold the stem in half and stick inside his ears. Now stuff him!
Now stick him into the oven on 200 degrees, watch him cause he will burn. I usually keep them in there for about 15 to 20 minutes. It gives it that good rusty, grungy look.
Now when he is dry and all antiqued up, twist him onto your rusty mattress spring. I got mine from my back yard. I don't know how it got there.....but it was out there a long time and I seen lots of people using the springs for crafting. So stick a box spring outside and let it rust and you can make a whole batch of thesebuggers! Enjoy!
